Axelle de Russé / Studio Hans Lucas has been named the 2019 winner of the Pierre & Alexandra Boulat Award for her project “Dehors.”
In France, women represent 3.6% of the prison population. An invisible minority, ostracized and isolated, their reintegration is an obstacle course. “Dehors” explores their life on the “outside.”
The prize, worth 8,000 euros, will be awarded to de Russé during the screening evening at Visa pour l’Image in Perpignan on Thursday, September 5.
