“Postcards of a Lost Border”

On a recent assignment for El País, Hector Guerrero of the VII Mentor Program captured the journey through the “lost border in the jungle.”

“It has been ignored for decades. The strip of land that connects Mexico with Central America does not have the photogenicity of a wall, nor the legend that the cinema and the American media have given to the Rio Grande or the deserts of Arizona. It has been treated as a Latin American border more: messy, wild, porous and silent. But it is the dividing line that more people cross each day on the American continent; One of the busiest in the world.”
