British/Swedish documentary photographer Anastasia Taylor-Lind (b.1981) is based in London and her editorial clients include National Geographic Magazine, GEO Germany, Marie Claire, The Sunday Times Magazine, Time, The New York Times and The Telegraph Magazine among others.
She has received a number of photography awards, from a diverse range of organisations including a FNAC grant for photojournalism, which was presented at the Visa Pour L’Image photojournalism festival in 2011, a Canon Young Photographer award in 2010 and the Royal Photographic Society Joan Wakelin Bursary in 2009. In 2011 Anastasia was selected to participate in the World Press Photo Joop Swart Masterclass. In 2012 she won the Center Project Award and 1st place in feature picture story category of the POYi.
Anastasia’s work has been exhibited internationally, in spaces such as The Saatchi Gallery, The Frontline Club, and The National Portrait Gallery in London, SIDE Gallery in Newcastle, Pikto Gallery in Toronto and The New Mexico Museum of Modern Art in Santa Fe.
Anastasia has degrees in Documentary Photography from the University of Wales Newport and the London College of Communication.
With learning structured in 3 four-day sessions to be held on a quarterly basis, this special Masterclass offers participants the opportunity to complete a personal project with guidance and sustained instruction by the photographers of VII, leaving a lasting impact on each participants’ professional training. Masterclass instruction to be provided by : Jocelyn Bain Hogg, Antonin Kratochvil, Davide Monteleone, Franco Pagetti, Anastasia Taylor-Lind, and Tomas van Houtryve.
