Aging in America: The Years Ahead by Ed Kashi is a topographical look at how a society grows old. Published in 2003, this 8-year project was ahead of its time in reporting from the front lines on how the U.S. was already coping with and adjusting to a growing elderly population, while also pointing to novel solutions and adaptations to better prepare for a society that would have more people over 60 than under 18 for the first time in human history.
